Barcelona set to pin signing on the greatest forward in the world this weekend (source Fabrizio Romano)

According to Fabrizio Romano “Robert Lewandowski’s intention to leave Bayern was clear in February, disappointed as he didn’t receive a ‘proper’ new contract bid. #FCB Barcelona approached agent Zahavi at the end of February. Robert said yes. Only Barca!!!”.

Bayern Munich refused to release Lewandowski for 5 months as they were adamant on selling him to any clubs even though he didn’t want to stay in the club.

Barcelona were the top club interested in signing Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona was the only club that Lewandowski was interested in joining.

As of current record Bayern Munich have accepted Barcelona’s offer of €50m plus add-ons.

According to Fabrizio Romano the deal is set to be totally finalized this weekend as Lewandowski is ready to sign up for Barcelona for 3 years which will include one optional year.
