Barcelona football club and their sporting board have provided the latest updates on their transfer status and position.
Barcelona are a very significant club in this Summer’s transfer market all over the top 5 leagues across Europe. Barcelona are in the race for three players.
Among this three players, two are playing in the Premier league. Here we have
- Raphinha: Raphinha, 25, plays for Leeds United as a right wing forward. Raphinha holds the 10 jersey in Leeds United. However Barcelona have seen something special in him as he is now considered a top priority for Barcelona chairman Joan Laporta.
Raphinha is also very interested in joining Barcelona. 25 year old Raphinha is also willing to follow the footsteps of his agent Deco, who is former Barcelona player. Barcelona are not the only club interested in signing Raphinha, if they want to have Raphinha they will have to beat the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
- Cesar Azpilicueta: Following the departure of 43 time trophy winner Dani Alves, Barcelona have now shifted their attention to 32 year old Azpilicueta. The Chelsea captain is expected to leave the club this summer and is considering Barcelona as an option.
Azpilicueta is expected to replace Dani Alves as Barcelona are not considering both Oscar Mingueza and Sergino Dest to be trust worthy. Chelsea are even interested in a swap deal which will feature United States winger Sergino Dest.
- Robert Lewandowski: Lewandowski is the most important player that Barcelona are interested in signing. Robert Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona since late March but Bayern Munich are proving to be the stumbling block. Bayern Munich are not willing to release Robert Lewandowski except if Barcelona can involve Pablo Gavi in the deal.
Barcelona are also looking forward to selling Frenkie De Jong to Manchester United who are the first team choice for De Jong. De Jong still has 3 years left in his contract so it will cost Manchester United€86m to sign De Jong. Barcelona have made it very clear that they will not be selling Frenkie De Jong for anything less than €80-90m.
