FC Nurnberg was sorely disappointed at the sudden turn of events which started well with them dominating and winning the first half of the match with 2 goals to nothing. Mikel Arteta who came in prepared and confident got to work with his substitution, removing Emile Smith Rowe and bringing in Gabriel Jesus. Mohamed Elneny replaced Nicolas Pépé, Gabriel Martinelli replaced Héctor Bellerín and Gabriel Magalhães replaces Reuell Walters all at the start of the second half.

2mins later Arsenal’s first goal was celebrated as Gabriel Jesus assisted by Eddie Nketiah took a shot from the right that went straight to the net. Mohamed Elneny scored a long-range goal in the 54th min equaling the match scores. FC Nurnberg player Christopher Schindler who was trying to kick the ball out his side ended up sending a goal into the net 3min later.

Another own goal was celebrated in the 63rd min by Arsenal as the ball bounced off the crossbar hitting Nurnberg’s player Tim Handwerker before entering the net.

Gabriel Jesus ended the showering goals for the Gunners with another goal in the 75th min and was assisted by Gabriel Martinelli leading to a 5-goal win against the German side. Below is a clip of all the goals
